This performance hood seal will help to eliminate the build up and will prevent future damage caused by water and dirt collecting under your C5 hood.
As an added benefit, when this seal is applied, the air intake can operate more efficiently as loss of vacuum pressure is eliminated in the engine compartment.
The natural vacuum effect created allows the air intake to collect air at a faster rate.
Those Corvette owners with a modified air box or after market intake will need this seal to prevent water from seeping into the air filter potentially damaging the engine internally.
