Late 19th century silver plated wine bottle holder from England. This is a lovely form. There are two handles, one on wither side, which have acanthus leaves at the top of the handle and curving gracefully to join the side of the bottle holder. The bottle holder itself has a wonderfully molded edge, depicting grape vines and fruit , over the pierced collar. The pattern repeats itself around the bottom, where there is then a molded foot base with acanthus leaf decoration as well. This is a lovely form, and would dress up any table or bar on which it is placed.
Please note that the Champagne bottle is NOT included.
