Rare original issue of one of the most radical and intellectually ambitious periodicals of the late 1960s Black Liberation era. Black Politics (1968–1969) served as a theoretical forum for revolutionary Black nationalism, Pan-Africanism, and Third World liberation movements. Published in Berkeley by a collective that included Richard Aoki (under the name “Richard Assegai”), Tom Sanders, and Ed Turner, the journal articulated militant positions on self-defense, Marxism, international anti-imperialism, and community control.
