Ravages is a 1955 novel by Violette Leduc that chronicles the intense, autobiographical, and often desperate romantic life of its protagonist, Thérèse, as she navigates complex relationships with both women and men. The novel is best known for being a subject of literary censorship; its publisher, Gallimard, removed the explicit first 150 pages detailing Thérèse's passionate adolescent lesbian affair with her schoolmate, Isabelle.
