Instructions for using the Rite of Marriage Ritual Cards with TOGETHER FOR LIFE 1. Both editions of Together for Life the regular and out- side Mass versions have been designed for use with the RITE OF MARRIAGE ritual cards. 2. Each prayer, reading, blessing or other formula found in the books has been identified with a corresponding letter and number on the cards. The Selection Forms for both editions also have the same identifying letters and numbers. 3. When the couple have indicated their selections for the nuptial service, the appropriate cards are removed from the box and placed in this 3-ring binder (or in two binders, if you also want to have one for the reader). 4. Included in this binder are three cards: J-1, J-2 and J-3. On each of these cards is a suggested form of General Intercessions or Prayer of the Faithful (as found in Together for Life). Since the Rite of Marriage does not provide any official General Intercessions, these are provided as samples. If one of these is chosen by the couple, the card may be put in its proper place in the binder for use by the celebrant or reader. 5. The extra blank cards are provided for your convenience when incorporating certain additional prayers, readings, or other elements into the nuptial service. 6. Upon completion of the service, the cards may be reinserted into the box (all the cards are numbered in sequence), or if you prefer, they can be left in the binders until the next ceremony and rearranged within a few minutes according to the preferences of the next couple.
