These are all new completely assembled crossovers for KLH Model Seventeen AND Model Twenty speakers. Yes, they both used the exact same crossover. This is the TOP crossover in the picture, the bottom one is an unpopulated board (which are also available in case you want to customize your sound)
No fooling with the mess of wires inside those beautiful wood cases, no desoldering the original caps and resistors etc. Complete instructions are included showing you how to complete the rebuild in less than an hour.
These brand new, complete crossovers will restore the original sound of those classic Henry Kloss speakers to brand new - without having to research components, learning to solder, or any of that.
NOTE:
A jumper is included (at the bottom edge of the board, white wire) That is for the Model Six crossover that was the same as the 17/20 to the tweeter, but had a coil in line with the woofer. This relieves the woofer of a lot of the high frequency tones that are otherwise allowed to go to it on the 17s and 20s. Some people like to do this 'upgrade' to their 17s and 20's, so that option is available on this board.
If you are installing these boards into a set of Model 6s, please let me know and I will leave the jumper out so you can solder in your OEM coils (they are not supplied with this auction). If you don't tell me, I will install the jumper and you would just have to desolder them, which is not a big deal. Do not run the speakers with both coil AND the jumper (I'm not completely sure HOW you even could do it, but people can be pretty creative when they set their mind to something) Anyway, if you have them both in the circuit, the jumper will bypass the coil and you'll be essentially running a Model 17 crossover in a Model 6, and I really can't say how that would sound.
This is for a matched PAIR of two boards.
ANOTHER NOTE: if you would prefer not to have the screw terminal blocks added so you can solder the incoming/outgoing wires directly to the board (this is how I do my own speaker builds) please let me know. There is no additional charge with or without terminals as I make these boards up for each order.
LAST NOTE: I don't always have control over what color my boards are fabricated in. So the boards you get may be green, black, or sometimes blue, possibly something else. Rest assured that they are THE SAME board no matter what color they are.
