Grading is always going to be affected by personal/owner's bias. I follow Overstreet/CGC guidelines for grading. While the photos are helpful to detect major flaws, - creases, dings, etc. on the comic book are very hard to capture without hours of holding the book at different angles. I'm a professional photographer, I know. I try to be fair with my grading, taking all factors inside and out of the book.
