If you believe in the saying, "they don't make them like they use to", then this is the door closer for you!

This closer is made of heavier gauge powder coated steel in an aluminum silver color. It was designed and manufactured In Tennessee, USA! It should bring years of reliable service with minimal maintenance compared to the cheap Chinese made closers you'll find at the hardware stores today. I know because I've installed those newer ones professionally and they just aren't the same quality as this era.

I purchased this unit in 1991 for a side garage door to a shop I was working in. I never got around to installing it and it sat on a dry shelf since. The blister pack has yellowed and cracked a little over time but the closer is still brand new and has never been used. All the mounting hardware and installation instructions are still sealed as expected inside.

It's great for standard wood residential or commercial doors, storm doors, or heavier weight screens doors. 36" width doors or smaller with 1.75" maximum thickness. I wouldn't use it on those low priced universal flimsy aluminum screen doors but it might be ok if adjusted properly. Also not applicable for heavy industrial/commercial steel and/or glass combination doors.
