1. You will receive three cuttings of Kalanchoe Fedtschenkoi Variegata, also known as Tricolor Lavender Scallops Succulent Cuttings, resembling the one displayed in picture 2 and measuring approximately 7 to 13 cm in length. To minimize water loss through the leaves, some leaves may be removed upon arrival.
  2. Upon arrival, carefully unpack and plant them in a small pot with drainage holes. Use well-draining soil to fill the pot. To enhance permeability and drainage, incorporate some sand into the soil mix. Create a shallow hole in the soil, insert the stem of the dried cutting, and let the top protrude. Firm the soil around the cutting to secure it gently. Water the soil lightly until it is just moist. Place the pot in a location that receives bright, indirect sunlight and moisten the soil as it dries out. The cutting is expected to root within a few weeks.
  3. Kalanchoe Fedtschenkoi Care

    • Ensure Kalanchoe Fedtschenkoi receives ample bright, indirect sunlight.
    • Use a gritty, well-draining potting mix for planting Kalanchoe Fedtschenkoi.
    • Water the succulent only after the soil has fully dried.
    • Like its relatives, Kalanchoe Fedtschenkoi needs little fertilization and can flourish due to its efficient nutrient use.
  4. Light

Kalanchoe Fedtschenkoi thrives in bright, indirect light when grown indoors and prefers filtered or early morning sunlight outdoors. It's advisable to position outdoor plants in a spot where they are protected from the harsh afternoon sun, which can scorch the leaves..

  5. Soil

Kalanchoe fedtschenkoi thrives in a coarse, well-draining potting mix, akin to those designed for cacti and succulents.

    Water

The Kalanchoe Fedtschenkoi, with its moisture-preserving succulent leaves, is susceptible to rot from overwatering. It is advisable to water the plant deeply only after the soil has fully dried, and then wait for the soil to dry out once more before the next watering. If the leaves begin to wrinkle or shrivel, it indicates the plant needs water.

  6. Fertilizing

    • Fertilize Kalanchoe Fedtschenkoi solely in the growing season, no more than two to three times annually, using a balanced, all-purpose fertilizer according to the manufacturer's directions. Lavender Scallops should not be fertilized in the winter months.
  7. Postage is carried out on Mondays or Tuesdays to ensure plants arrive in the best possible condition and avoid remaining at the post office over the weekend. Public holidays may impact delivery times.

  8. Sales are not available for Western Australia, or the Northern Territory due to the states' quarantine regulations.
