Superb antique Balinese Ganesha silver kris hilt with gem-encrusted.18th-19th C.

This huge silver kris hilt is shaped like the Hindu god Ganesha. Its surface is inlaid with various gemstones(Ruby,Aquamarine,Orange Agate,Black Agate), and some decorative patterns are also made of solid gold.

The Ganesha is depicted very vividly and powerfully. It exudes strength and possesses excellent artistic appeal.

This is undoubtedly an important identifying mark on a high-grade Balinese  kris sword .

Today, it is also a museum-quality Southeast Asian artwork on display.

Ganesha is the elephant-headed Hindu god of new beginnings, wisdom, and luck, known as the remover of obstacles. He is the son of Shiva and Parvati and is widely worshipped across Hinduism, Buddhism, and Jainism in South and Southeast Asia.
