The Disk Hook is a device designed to optimize the movement of anterior teeth during orthodontic treatments, especially in the retraction phase.

 This accessory has unique characteristics that provide greater precision, control, and efficiency in the process of closing dental spaces, and because they are discs instead of hooks, they allow the elastics and springs to have their surfaces parallel to the gum, preventing invaginations and discomfort in the mucosa.

It has the specific function of serving as an anchorage or retention point for chain elastics, intraoral intermaxillary elastics, metal ligature wires, and calibrated nickel-titanium springs.

-Controlling Tooth Movement: The Disk Hook design allows for the application of forces at 2 different heights (4.0 mm and 7.0 mm), adjusting the point of application in relation to the center of resistance of the tooth. This enables tooth movement, avoiding unwanted movements such as excessive tilting or rotation.

-Versatility in Force Vectors: The device allows for the selection of different force vectors, enabling adjustments according to the specific needs of the patient and the treatment plan.

-Integration with Mini Screws: When combined with mini anchorage screws, the Disk Hook offers even greater control over anchorage loss, maintaining the stability of the posterior teeth during anterior tooth retraction.
