Morato Bruno was born in Padua on 8 August 1951 and felt attracted to painting from a young age.
In 1977 he enrolled in courses at the Academy of Applied Arts at the Padua branch. Following the master
Claudio Borsato perfected his study of drawing and color. With Claudio Borsato and other colleagues who
shared the same pictorial style, he founded the Group “Pittori Neofigurativi Padovani Pietro Annigoni” in
honor of the great painter of Florence who worked at the Basilica del Santo in that decade.
To crown the partnership and friendship that had been established, it will be inaugurated, with the patronage of the Municipality of
Padua, the collective exhibition “Pietro Annigoni and his collaborators” at the Piazza Cavour Gallery with
the exhibition also of the works of the Gruppo Pittori Neofigurativi Padovani (1987).
Subsequently he participated in numerous competitions, collective and personal exhibitions, receiving prizes and
recognitions. He has carried out commissioned works of a decorative nature and works of sacred subjects.
The need to perfect the study of the figure led him to enroll in the Free School of the Nude in 2001
of the Academy of Fine Arts of Venice, which he will attend for four years.
