Inizialmente Prof il primo, allievo il secondo, due figure di assoluta eccellenza nell'ambito culturale del nostro Paese, quasi tre quarti di secolo di fotografia in Italia, fotografia colta.

Più storico che fotografo il primo, più fotografo che storiografo il secondo, entrambi comunque emersi con contenuti di rilievo sia nel campo pratico che in quello storico/intellettuale, entrambi autori e docenti, con un seguito nutrito di studenti e seguaci coltivati appunto in più di settant'anni di attività non ancora conclusa.

Autori e docenti, attraverso il loro lavoro si possono quindi ripercorrere tappe importanti per gli sviluppi della fotografia nel nostro Paese, tappe cadenzate da pubblicazioni cartacee (riviste, libri, opuscoli, ecc.) che punteggiano l'incedere delle loro carriere. Oltre alle fotografie, sono qui pubblicati: libri propri e di altri autori, foto di famiglia, contributi vari ritenuti particolarmente significativi che evidenziano, tra l'altro, le influenze determinanti per la loro visione del mondo.

Initially Prof the first, a pupil the second, two figures of absolute excellence in the cultural sphere of our country. To be more precise, almost three quarters of a century of photography in Italy, cultured photography.

The former is more historian than photographer, the latter more photographer than historian, both of which however emerged with relevant contents both in the practical and in the historical / intellectual field, both authors and teachers, with a large following of students and cultivated followers precisely in more than seventy years of activity not yet completed.

Authors and teachers, through their work, it is therefore possible to retrace important stages for the development of photography in our country, stages marked by paper publications (magazines, books, brochures, etc.) that punctuate the progress of their careers. In addition to the photographs, these documents are published here: their own books and those of other authors, family photos, various contributions considered particularly significant which highlight, among other things, the decisive influences for their vision of the world.
