Arlos Pro 5S Camera works without a Smart Hub by connecting directly to your Wi-Fi network. To store local recordings without an Arlo subscription plan, a Smart Hub and compatible USB or MicroSD device up to 2TB is required. 


NOTE: Arlo cameras can be placed up to 300ft (90m) away from the Smart Hub. The maximum line of sight range of 300 feet is reduced by each wall, ceiling, or other major obstruction between the camera and the base station.
