    Core Functions of an Engine Mount

    • Secure and Support

        Anchors the heavy engine to the vehicle's frame, preventing excessive movement.

    • Absorb Vibration

        Uses elastic components (like rubber) to dampen the shakes produced by the running engine.

    • Reduce Noise

        Blocks vibrations from transferring into the cabin and steering wheel, improving comfort and quietness.

     

    Signs You Need to Replace an Engine Mount

    • Excessive Vibration: Steering wheel and car body shake noticeably at idle

    • Loud Clunk: A "clunk" or "thud" from the engine bay when accelerating or braking

    • Engine Movement: Visibly see the engine rocking too much

    • Physical Damage: Rubber is cracked, collapsed, or leaking fluid

     

    Installation Steps

    • Prepare & Lift：Disconnect battery negative terminal. Use an engine support bar to hold the engine from the oil pan (place a wood block in between)

    • Remove Old Mount：Jack up the front of the vehicle slightly. Loosen and remove the bolts securing the engine mount

    • ​Replace Mount：Slowly lower the engine support until the old mount is loose. Remove the old mount and install the new one

    • Install & Tighten：Slightly raise the engine to align. Tighten all bolts to the specified torque

    • Finish Up：Remove the engine support and jack. Reconnect the battery

     

    Important Note

    • The engine is very heavy.Improper operation can cause serious injury or vehicle damage
    • If you lack experience, proper tools, and strength, it is highly recommended to have a professional mechanic do it
    • Always work on a flat, solid surface and use jack stands to support the vehicle. Never rely solely on a jack
