Boston Bruins 1978-1979 Official Program - This 76-page Program for the Thursday, November 16, 1978 match-up between the Big Bad Bruins and the Toronto Maple Leafs contains Black-and-White photos, articles by D. Leo Monahan, Tom Fitzgerald, Tom Henshaw and Red Fisher, a listing of an at-the-time Bruins All-Time Team Records, Bill Robert's Illustrated Hockey Quiz and more...even a Red-Spot Color Kowloon Ad and Black-and-White Ads for Lechmere and Shawmut Bank.

The Program, which measures approx. 8 1/4" x 11" is in Good to about Very Good Condition.  I would have graded it at about Very Good, but it has the following main detractions: although the cover and centerfold are still attached by the original staples, a prior owner added extra staples, the first internal page has writing in pencil and the Scorecard has details written in pen, and the binding top, center and bottom edges have tears (see more details in the next paragraph).

The Cover, which has retained good color, and all pages, which are off-white are attached (but as previously mentioned have been reinforced by extra staples); the front and back cover corners have wear and rounding, the front cover top left-hand corner has an approx. 1" tear and creasing, the top center edge has an approx. 1 1/2" crease above "TO", the top right-hand corner has an approx. 1 1/2" crease, the left-hand center edge has an approx. 1 1/2" tear, the bottom left-hand corner has an approx. 1/2" tear, the bottom right-hand corner has an approx. 1/2" crease; the first page has writing in pencil in various areas at the right-hand side and the Scorecard, as previously mentioned, has writing; the Centerfold best exhibits the additional staples, and it has a blemish on the right-hand page at the top left-hand side near "30 Gerry Cheevers"; page #42 has a blemish at the top left-hand edge near "fraction" and that page has previously been stuck to page #43 (so there is a little paper loss in the American Airlines plane near the engine; the back cover top left-hand corner has an approx. 1" crease, the top right-hand and center edge exhibit the tears previously mentioned, the spine shows some of the extra staples at the top and bottom areas.  

All-in-all, though, lots of good reading content from almost 50-years ago.
