This is a beautiful old compact with a rich red enamel and a fabulous repousse style raised brass design.
The Rex Fifth Ave. mark on the powder puff was used between 1945 and 1951.
The puff is in original condition, with powder still on it.
The screen is in good shape, and there is still a bit of powder left in the bottom.
The mirror is clean and there is just a bit of silvering on the edges--please check all photos for details.
This is a gorgeous collectible--time has lent an imperfect mark, but still a lovely addition to any vanity collection!
