Up for sale, a 2004 Rickenbacker 325C58/12 “Blue Boy” in near-mint condition, complete with the original hardshell case. An extremely unique Rickenbacker model, this custom color Blue Boy is in our best estimation one of five produced in 2004 with the 325’s distinctive (and rare beyond rare) F hole. Ostensibly a product of some extremely tidy aftermarket mods, this 325C58/12 has been outfitted with the active compressor circuit/harness of a Roger McGuinn model. The finish is an expertly executed, pitch perfect iteration of Rickenbacker’s “Color of the Year” Blue Boy finish.
This 325C58/12 delivers on the promise of classic Rickenbacker jangle and sparkle, with a notably short scale length of 21”, particularly resonant via the semi-hollow alder construction. This 325C58/12 is loaded with a trio of Rickenbacker's Toaster Top single coils, boasting Alnico magnet construction, capturing the full sonic spectrum of all twelve strings. The compact size of the 325 makes chord extensions a breeze, and the four-position rotary compressor enables onboard squash and smoothing, with a huge array of sounds achievable via unique combinations of the various compression levels and Ric’s ingenious fifth Blend knob.

There are just a couple tiny marks on the gloss Blue Boy finish. The smooth gloss on the neck profile is flawless, with some finish checking along the treble side headstock wing.
The original silver tolex hardshell case is included.
