I bought this GPS unit several years ago from a man that only used it once. I proceeded to use it a couple more times, and always took the utmost care of it. I had a few other Garmins in worse shape, so I tended to use them instead of this one. As it sits, I have the original box with packaging, wrist lanyard, instructions, and informational DVD. 

The battery compartment is spotless, as it's only ever been used with rechargeable batteries. It acquires sattelites quickly, and always shows the correct date (which can't be said of a lot of the earlier GPS 72 and GPS 76 handhelds). 

What I always thought was neat about the 72H is it can be updated via micro USB, unlike the older GPS 72 and GPS 76 handhelds, which required the use of the special cable and RS-232 over serial interface. USB makes it much easier to upload and download waypoints!
