This is the most beautiful set of teaspoons I have ever seen. They are in
perfect condition. Each is heavily embossed all over in what I would
describe as a Celtic motif. Vintage set of anointing spoons.
The hallmarks and maker's initials are rubbed on several of the spoons.
The marks are found on the left hand edge of the handle. To read them,
turn the spoon over and they run left to right. The spoons are hallmarked
for Birmingham 1936, putting them in the extremely short reign of
Edward VIII and in the same year as the Berlin Olympics. The maker's
initials, 'CET,' indicate they were produced by Charles Edward Turner.
They rest in their original red box lined in red velvet and ivory colored silk.
The case snaps tightly shut.
