Tool's experience as a Marine in the Gulf War is the basis for the often harrowing imagery formed and printed onto his ceramics. Since 2001, he has created and given thousands of cups to servicepeople, explaining to Craft in America, "I hope that some of the cups can be starting points for conversations about unspeakable things."
