c. 1950s-1960s; Likely Caribbean or Latin American Origin

Pair of expressive hand-carved wooden figures depicting two musicians playing conga-style drums. Each figure is worked from solid wood with strong chisel marks and stylized features, emphasizing elongated limbs, angular faces, and rhythmic posture. One figure is carved in a seated stance while the other stands mid-beat, together forming a striking duo.

Such carvings were popular mid-century exports from Caribbean workshops, often sold as tourist art but rooted in cultural celebration of rhythm, dance, and music. Both figures are in great shape. Please refer to photos for condition and details.
