Full work in two matching volumes in a modern rebinding of red half leather with gilt decoration and black spine labels. Marbled block edges.
New marbled end-papers, nothing original before frontis in both volumes. Volume II has small repair to frontis. Foxing to both title pages. Some plates are considerably darkened. 35 plates in total, a few may have been bound in from other publications and are on smaller pages. Neither volume is dated, contents include financial information up to 1856 and an entry on the final page of Volume II gives the date of the death of a Mr Thomas Wilson of May 9th 1858. Volume I may have been published earlier than this date. There are no maps or plans in these volumes.
