This new series on Expansion explores classic and exceptional 70s and 80s ‘modern soul room’ tracks making them available on 7” single for the very first time.
 
The series continues with Ronnie Dyson’s “I Want To Be Where You Are”, previously championed by Expansion on the compilation “Soul Ecstasy” and the first time CD issue of the parent album “Love In All Flavors”.
 
Ronnie Dyson was the Broadway star who first hit the Philly sound spot on with Thom Bell at Columbia before this 1977 recording with Natalie Cole’s writing and production team Chuck Jackson and Marvin Yancy
 
“I Want To Be Where You Are” has been crying out to be a single since its first release and played solely as an album track….until now!  - Expansion
