Beautiful artisan porcelain doll, scaled for a 1:12 dollhouse, wearing a dress by the famous Robert H. Archer.

Doll stands a bit under 7 inches tall. She is jointed at the torso, but not really poseable, and requires a stand to position her upright.

Robert Archer was a costume designer throughout his life, and turned to miniatures as he matured. He specialized in authentic period costumes using the highest quality of fabrics, beadwork, and trims. He received the 'Artisan' designation by the International Guild of Miniature Artisans in the 1990s, and his works appear in private collections and museums around the world.

Porcelain doll wears a Victorian style high-necked blue gown overlaid with lace. Underneath, she is dressed in pantaloons and a petticoat to add fullness to her costume.

Her hair is elaborately styled with flowers, and she wears 2 rings and a set of earrings as well. Her beautiful face is hand painted.

This doll belonged to an adult collector, was very protected, and is in very good condition. The only sign of age wear is a spot on the back of the trim that runs across her shoulders, where the glue has darkened (visible in photos).

A rare opportunity to add your own 'museum piece' to your collection!
