This is a used Briggs & Stratton Air Cleaner Base & Cover. Clean. New primer bulb already installed. May show signs of normal wear.

Definitions:

Apparatus Nomenclature: Technical equipment or machinery needed for a particular activity or purpose. In short, the model and serial number are located on the frame of the machine.

Engine Nomenclature: The letters and numbers that make up an engine's model number are a series of codes to tell you the engine family, the number of cylinders, the emissions standard, the type of ignition, the capacity, the type of aspiration and the generator set rating. See below for location of common engine nomenclature.

If I do not have the part, I will try to point you in the right direction. I will never ship a dirty or grease covered item. I ensure that the item is functional and clean. Rest assured that when you open the box you will NOT have to put on gloves or break out the cleaner just to handle the part before installation. All items are considered used and may have signs of normal wear, unless otherwise described.

SHIPPING NOTE: Most items shipped using USPS. Unfortunately, USPS has been experiencing delays beyond my control. On rare occasions your item may be delayed. To keep shipping costs low, I will continue to use USPS to ship most of my items. Other large and heavy items are shipped using UPS. The method of shipment will be indicated in the listing. Alternate shipping methods are not allowed unless offered in the listing.

A model number tag located under the seat, on the deck is not the engine nomenclature, rather it is the equipment nomenclature.

Briggs & Stratton Engine

Location: On the Engine or stamped on valve cover or stamped on blower housing

Model numbers are located on the physical engine and usually contain a combination of letters and numbers. The numbering system is often segmented into 3 sections: [Model Number] - [Engine Type Number] - [Code Number]

Your model number will be either 6, 7, 11 or 12 characters in length. 

Kohler Engine

Location: The model number, serial number, and specification code on a Kohler engine are located on a silver decal attached to the blower housing on the side of the engine cover. MODEL NO. - SPEC. NO. - SERIAL NO. - BUILD DATE

Tecumseh Engine

There are several places on the engine this may be found. Typically, the Tecumseh engine model label is located on the front or top of the engine.

TRANSAXLE

Hydro-Gear Transaxle

Hydro-Gear products can be identified by the label attached to the product depicting the model and serial number. MODEL NO. – SERIAL NO. – CROSS REFERENCE NO.

Peerless/Tecumseh Transaxle

The identification should be visible by viewing the case/cover unit from below and behind as it is mounted in the driven equipment. MODEL NO. – SPEC NO. – D.O.M. – SERIAL.
