“I AM QUITE HAPPY WITH YOUR LAST PARAGRAPH ABOUT COPYRIGHT. AS TO PAYMENT, WOULD YOU PLEASE SEND THE FEE TO ME ABOUT THE MIDDLE OF DECEMBER C/O THE SPARUND CREDIT BANK, TODTMOOS, SCHWARZALD, GERMANY.”
Reads in full: “Thank you for your letter. I am quite happy with your last paragraph about copyright. As to payment, would you please send the fee to me about the middle of December c/o The Sparund Credit Bank, Todtmoos, Scharwzald, Germany. As you know, we are allowed to take very little money out of England, and as I shall be in Germany for Christmas I should be glad if the fee could be put to my credit at this Bank. You might add instructions to the effect that I shall be visiting in Germany and will collect the money on my arrival. I hope this does not cause you too much trouble. Best wishes to the book which I shall look forward to seeing when it is published.”
