the dynamic & intrepid
Year
of the Horse with
this gorgeous 5
troy ounce pure silver black proof, gilded with 24-karat gold
plating and
numbered
on the edge with its unique serial number! Mintage just 888!
This magnificent work of art depicts a trio of stallions
cavorting and rearing up on their hind
legs amidst a whirlwind of clouds, symbolizing good fortune, prosperity
and
immortality. These charismatic horses are garnished with peony
blossoms. These "king of flowers" represent wealth, honor and rank. The
Chinese character
for "Horse" has been gilded and engraved within a circular cartouche on
the center stile, but there are
no legends on
the obverse, to further enhance this dramatic scene.
The Horse personality embodies
life, liberty and (the pursuit of) happiness! He or she is amazingly
agile, both physically and mentally—a true master
problem-solver.
After everyone else has given up, the Horse will saunter in
with an
ingenious and practical solution (and often gallop ahead before the
rest of the group can catch up!). A Horse can be impatient, but is also
forgiving and kind. His or her sunny disposition is
irresistible. Give a Horse plenty of space to frolic, and
you'll have
an intrepid and energetic friend!
Struck from one full troy ounce of pure silver, each frosted cameo
proof finish Horse coin
resides within its handsome presentation case, protected by a full
color outer box.
An individually numbered certificate of authenticity is included. Best
of all is the mintage—lucky number 888, tremendously low for
such
a desirable and affordable beauty. With its extremely limited mintage,

The Year of
the Horse—Energetic & Intrepid!
Centuries ago, the Chinese invented a calendar based on
the
lunar (rather than the solar) cycle. There are twelve animals in the
Chinese lunar zodiac, each corresponding in sequence to a year rather
than a month.
In 2026 we celebrate the Year
of the Horse.
According to tradition,
people born during a Year of the Horse (1906, 1918, 1930, 1942, 1954,
1966,
1978, 1990, 2002, 2014 and 2026) are said to exhibit that
animal’s
attributes. Horse people are active and energetic. They have plenty of
charisma and know appeal to others (especially those of the opposite
sex). Horses are joiners who love to be part of the group, which
is why they can usually be found at such occasions like concerts,
the theater, meetings, sporting events, and of course, parties.
People born during the Year of the Horse
have a pleasant, amiable, easy going disposition which guarantees
popularity and a large following of friends. Blessed with good humor
and geniality, they are extremely easy to get along with, for they have
the knack of instantly putting people at ease.
The
Horse is very quick-witted and insightful. S/he is right in there with
you before you have even had the chance to finish what you are saying:
s/he's on the thought in your mind even before you've expressed it! The
Horse can be hot-blooded, hot-headed and impatient. The Horse is a
worker, adept at handling money and a good financier. But
unfortunately, s/he is also famous for suddenly losing interest in a
project.
Those born a Horse
have many contradictions in character. Horses are proud yet
sweet-natured, arrogant yet oddly modest in their approach to love,
envious but tolerant, conceited yet humble. They want to belong, yet
they are burdened by their need for independence. They need love and
crave intimacy yet often feel cornered or pressured. But the truth is,
the Horse is an individual who depends on its wits and his labor
to get what it wants!
If you weren't born
during a year of the horse, never fear!
No, literally, never fear—make like a horse and be intrepid!
This year is a perfect
opportunity to strike out on your own and do something you've always
wanted to, but haven't gotten around to yet!

Niue
Niue is a small island nation in the South Pacific. Although it is
completely self-governing and independent, it remains in free
association with New Zealand, a member of the British Commonwealth of
Nations, hence the portrait of the British monarch on most of its
coinage. The country is located about 1,450 miles northeast of New
Zealand. It is closest to Samoa, Tonga, and the Cook Islands. It is one
of the largest coral islands in the world, with a total area of 260
square kilometers. Niueans are predominantly Polynesian; most are
bilingual, speaking both Niuean and English.
