This is a Kutani ware decorative vase titled "Birds and Flowers", created by renowned artist Tadao Miyamoto (b. 1928, Kyoto). He studied under Master Sakichi Matsumoto II, a designated intangible cultural property holder of Ishikawa Prefecture. Miyamoto was first selected for the Japan Traditional Crafts Exhibition in 1979 and received the Excellence Award at the 13th Kutani Ware Exhibition in 1990. He became a full member of the Japan Kogei Association in 1991.
