Siemens & Halske Vintage Multimeter Works DC Volts

My reference #S2

Tested, working, see the last three photos of it in operation.

It has scales for voltage and voltage.  Wide range. 1,5-600 volts ac and dc.

Siemens & Halske multimeters called MULTIZET.

Tests:  I but 5.00V DC into it and you can see in the photos it's dead on working.  I didn't test current and resistance.  I'm thinking this is a collector/museum piece not a multimeter for continuous use.

This instruments was developed in the mid-1930s, but continued to be produced after the war in the nationalized plants of Siemens & Halske called RTF and VEB

The company Siemens & Halske (today Siemens AG) was founded in 1847 by German inventor Werner von Siemens and precision mechanic Johann Georg Halske as a company for the construction of telegraph and other electrical networks, and to this day it has developed into one of the world's leading companies in the fields of electronics, electrical engineering, telecommunications and other related branches of technology.

Since Siemens & Halske has been involved in the production of electrical equipment since the very beginning of its widespread use, and the company's range includes a large number of different electrical devices, it is difficult to determine the year of manufacture for some of the company's products today, especially when they do not have any model designation or serial number. Although Johann Georg Halske retired from the company in 1867, the name Siemens & Halske was retained until the end of the 1960s, so that our multimeter, given the technology it incorporates, can easily be classified as belonging to any period between the 1930s and the 1960s. Moreover, some devices were produced in practically unchanged form for several decades, and it was especially common for stocks of parts, components and devices from the production period before and during World War II to continue to be used in the 1950s and even the 1960s.
