This square brooch features an iridescent horse head mounted on deep red Bakelite with inlaid mother of pearl bands. The square portion with inlay is an upcycled vintage Bakelite belt buckle. In the center, is a vintage Bakelite poker chip in a matching color. The horse head is a vintage jewelry component, I am not sure whether it is genuine or synthetic mother of pearl. It is much more iridescent than it appears to be in the pictured. The brooch is just under 2 inches square. It is backed with a vintage clay poker chip and has a rollover c-clasp. The color is closer to the deeper red of the closeup photos.
