The 2000 SAP United States Grand Prix was a Formula One motor
race held on September 24, 2000, at the Indianapolis Motor Speedway. It was the
15th and penultimate round of the 2000 Formula One World Championship, and the first United States Grand Prix hosted at Indianapolis. Ferrari driver Michael Schumacher won the 73 lap race from the pole position. His teammate Rubens Barrichello finished second with Jordan's Heinz Harald Frentzen third.
