Rosewood Dalbergia Spruceana guitar set. Backs about 8.1 wide, 21 long, sanded to about 0.170. Sides about 5 to 4.4 wide, 33 long, sanded to about 0.110 thick. A few saw marks still remain. Some tiny holes in sapwood as shown and one other small void on sides to fill. This is true rosewood from Brazil, if you research this species at US forestry service website, you will see it viery similar to D. Nigra. Only a slight difference in density(D. Spruceana is slightly denser) and a difference in the flouresence of the shavings under black light between the species. Not to be confused with macacauba, which is sometimes called amazon rosewood. macacauba is a playmiscium species.
