Large! 1920's Antique Handmade 14k Yellow Gold 19.0ct White Chalcedony size: 10.25 Solitaire Ring, 

14.55 grams

This exquisite, handmade 14kt yellow gold bluish-white chalcedony solitaire ring is absolutely gorgeous.

This is a very elegant, antique large ring that will make a bold and beautiful statement when worn.

The ring features a large 19.0ct natural cabochon cut bluish-white chalcedony gemstone, with a most fascinating translucent
white color with a beautifully light bluish hue.

This stunning gemstone has a soft very romantic looks

The gemstone was bezel set, by hand in a thick, very strong handmade from A to Z ring mounting.

A thick wide head was hand crafted, along with a 5mm wide band, that will feel very comfortable when worn.

A unique bamboo design frame was hand-soldered around the head.

Strong stems were hand-cut and hand soldered to the band and the head, connecting the 2 parts together.

Thick teardrop-shaped designs were hand crafted and hand soldered to both sides of the band, which provide additional strength and support to the heavy mounting, while also adding a bit of decoration.

Signs of hand work can be seen through out this magnificent piece where the jeweler hand soldered each individual part on, one by one, which took quite a bit of time.

Around the 1900s, jewelers used gold solders that were a lower carat than the 14K gold they were joining, allowing the solder to melt at a lower temperature.
Solder for this ring was 9k gold alloy.

These distinct things add a lot of character to this amazing ring and make this a one of a kind handmade work of art.

This beautifully designed chalcedony ring will transcend generations.
