I get asked a lot about these old instruments. So, I've decided to do some (proper) work on a lot of old stuff, Emu, Roland, Akai, Korg, Yamaha etc. check the shop listings for more information.

Its configured to Plug N Play on the existing mounting points. The display cable plugs in, the same way. Everything is Plug N Play !

NO Soldering is required to install ! 

Finally, you may have noticed the lil adaptor on the right hand side of the display. This is something i designed to convert an 80x36 into an 85x36. This is the only reason why it's possible to list a display for these modules.

Without that adaptor the display won't Plug N Play correctly. I'll be using this lil gadget for various things. Casio VZ8M is a good example. also, Linn 9000 is another machine, where the lil adaptor will be used.

The PMVA display i use to upgrade all of them, is NOT available in 85x36. So, it was necessary to design and produce a custom adaptor for it. This is what 'proper' work means !
