| Overall Tips: It is essential to know how to launder the luxury material properly. After all, it took four years for a goat to grow enough wool for your sweater. If taken care of well, cashmere will last a lifetime.
Many cashmere items can be hand washed safely in lukewarm water. Use baby shampoo or gentle wash detergent and rinse well. Add half cup of white vinegar to the rinse. Washing actually makes cashmere softer, allowing the yarns to bloom. Dry flat and don't expose to any heat.
Light pilling is not a problem for cashmere. Even the best quality cashmere give some pilling. Just wash it and remove pilling by hand when it is still wet.

Cashmere is a very delicate fabric, and while we have four stages of quality control, the fragility of the fabric means that sometimes there are hidden flaws.
