Tigers won 7-5.  Brian Moehler got the win.  Todd Jones got the save.  Bobby Higginson had a grand slam HR, and a double.  Juan Encarnacion had a two run HR.  Brian Hunter had two singles, a triple and two runs scored.  Tony Clark had two hits and an RBI.

For the Angels, Tim Salmon had an HR and two RBIs.  Jim Edmonds had an HR.  Rickey Henderson (HOF) had a hit, a run scored, and a stolen base.  Gary Disarcina had three singles, a double and a run scored.
