Houdini, A Circus Opera" is a 1977 opera by Adrian Mitchell (libretto) and Peter Schat (music). It premiered at the Carre Theater in Amsterdam. The opera reimagines the life and career of Harry Houdini, incorporating elements of circus performance. A unique aspect of the production was the use of three different performers to portray Houdini: a singer, a dancer, and an escape artist
