Up for Buy-It-Now is a rebuilt master brake cylinder, Acme part number 1488. This item was obtained from an old service garage and is not a newly remanufactured part. According to my Acme manual, this is used on the following models and years:
1969-1971 Ford Full Size....Custom, Galaxie, LTD, All w/ Bendix factory unit drum brakes w/ Power
1971-1973 Mustang...w/ drum brakes, w/ Power
1969-1971 Mercury...Full Size unit except Station Wagon, drum brakes, w/ Power
1967-1972 Cougar, All w/ drum brakes, w/ Power
I opened the box for the first time to inspect and take pictures. The master cylinder is in excellent rebuilt condition and is free of any damage. There is some surface rust on the piece from many years of shelfs storage. May or may not need a light polishing up before installation. The original Acme box is in good condition.
