This scrapbook page comes from a group of 3 scrapbooks there were made in the early 50s. A young boy, name Irv, meticulously assembled the scrapbooks, which covers each NBA team from the 1950-1953 seasons. The albums were divided by team and contain autographs from various players, coaches, announcers, referees and other people associated with the league. Judging by the autographs, it appears the album was taken to games and each autograph was obtained in person.
The albums are an incredible archive of early autographs of NBA players and pioneers. Contained within are rare autographs of players who passed early in their life or had short careers with the league. The albums displayed a high degree of wear. Some of the pages have multiple tears and creases, while other pages are in nice condition. Please refer to the listing scan to determine the level of wear for the page up for sale.
