From the 1888 first edition of “Picturesque California” edited by John Muir. This is an original photogravure of “Madrona Trees, Paper Mill Creek (Near Taylorsville)” by Julian Rix. Also comes with a title page with the name of the artwork and artist.

Item is in good condition for age with some browning along the edges and a crease and small tear on the lower right. Title page also has browning, creasing and small tears along the edges.

Total dimensions are 19”x14”. Image itself is 13”x9.
