Wood's Animal Kingdom is a hard cover book with 796 pages. It was edited by Rev. J. G. Wood who was the author of several other books. It was published in 1870. It is the complete edition. It contains about 500 engravings on wood by Dalziel Brothers. The leather spine has come detached and the leather corners have worn through to the board underneath. All of the inside pages are intact with no loose, bent or torn pages. The inside and outside of the hard covers as well as the cover pages are beautifully marbled. The same marbling design is found on the edges of the pages on all 3 sides.
