Here is a used and tested API Assembly Products, Inc. Model 561 large-size VU meter. The the sticker affixed to the rear of the meter has the API code number 2903, and part number 56 0266 0051

The front bezel of this meter measures approx. 5.0" wide, and 2-7/8" high, making it the larger of the API VU meters.

Cosmetically and physically, the meter appears to be in virtually new condition. I have tested it, and it is working as it should.

The holder for the two no. 47 pilot lamps is included, as shown in the images. Note that I have not tested the lamps, but in the event that they need to be replaced, no. 47 or equivalent incandescent or LED replacements are readily available. The two brackets/clips for mounting the meter to a panel are also included as shown.

I removed this VU meter from a piece of audio equipment many years ago, and I never found a use for it. At one time I had two of them, both removed from the same equipment, and one of them was subsequently sold to a fellow who was refurbishing a vintage Collin Model 212G-1 audio console.

As with all electronic equipment of this vintage, this VU meter is sold as-is and with no warranty. Please look at the accompanying photos carefully; what you see is what you will receive, and feel free to e-mail me with any questions you may have!

Please be sure to see the many buyer positive feedback comments I have received as a seller here on e-Bay. Bid with complete confidence, as I have 100% perfect positive feedback, and I have been a member of e-Bay since 1999!

A word about shipping costs: I always endeavor to ship items offered for sale here on eBay by the most economical means, consistent with good packing practices, while considering the size, weight, and value of the item.  Good packing practice means I will not pack a delicate item in an undersized box and with insufficient packing/filler material so the item may ship the most inexpensive way, such as via USPS Flat Rate Small Box Priority Mail. We both want your item to arrive safely, and with minimal chance of damage in shipment.  I have no control over the shipping cost to you via the USPS or any other carrier.  I never make a profit on the shipping cost, and there is never a charge for any packing materials, which usually includes brand-new bubble-wrap. If you are of the opinion the shipping cost quoted by the eBay shipping calculator may be too high, please contact me before you place your order, so we can discuss a possible alternate means of shipment that may be less costly.

Positive feedback is left automatically, once the buyer leaves positive feedback for this transaction.
