Insert into dipstick tube until the tool bottoms out, this tool will be longer than the tube itself.
Remove and check fluid level
DO NOT leave tool inside =
the dip stick tube when finished with level check.
What is the purpose of the dip stick used in the engine?
The dipstick is a long and flat metal rod with a plastic ring handle. Its primary purpose is to indicate the oil level inside the engine, but it does more than that. The dipstick can tell you about the condition of the oil. Also, it can give you an idea of the internal health of the engine.
