Benny was not like the other Easter bunnies. While they had bright white, soft gray, or chocolate-brown fur, he was a simple beige color. Only his fluffy white tail stood out.
Every spring, the bunnies painted eggs in dazzling colors, ready to hide them for children. But Benny always felt plain, blending into the fields, unnoticed.
One Easter morning, as he carried a basket of eggs, a sudden gust of wind sent them rolling down a hill. Benny panicked how would the children find their eggs now?
Determined, he hopped after them, his beige fur perfectly blending with the golden sunrise. As he reached the bottom, he found the eggs safe among the flowers.
Just then, a little girl spotted him. “Look! The Easter Bunny!” she cried with joy. Others gathered, marveling at the bunny who had saved their Easter.
From that day on, Benny realized he didn’t need bright fur to be special his kind heart made him shine. And every Easter, children waited to catch a glimpse of the beige bunny with the white tail.
