Rare cable.

We do not know what this interfaces to or wired for, guessing Pro TV camera audio? or intercom system as they often use 4 pin wiring.

You can trace out and rewire/replace with 3 pin XLR if you need more common mixer input etc. The cable itself has 5 conductors plus shield so you could rewire to a more common xlr and 1/4 split setup as well.

It was in with surplus lot from a pro AV company.

Most likely new w signs of storage/handling, but it may have been used very lightly, see picts, selling as you see it.
