Home jersey released for use during the 2022 World Cup in Qatar where Lions of Teranga will compete in group A with Ecuador, Holland and the host nation. Senegal reached the knock-out stage of the World Cup twice, in 2002 and 2018, and they will aim to add another one during this upcoming tournament. This design will also be used during the Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers where Senegal are favorites to win their group and progress to the main tournament which will be held in Ivory Coast
