"Hollywood Bowl" Radio Show Transcription Discs Produced by The Armed Forces Radio Service.  One Complete 2 hour and 20 minute radio program on these five 16 inch, vinyl, 33 1/3 rpm discs.  These discs were issued to Armed Forces Radio Service stations for broadcast to U. S. Troops overseas during World War Two and not available to the general public, very rare!

"Hollywood Bowl" radio program #1 featuring the performance of the opera "Carmen" in English by Georges Bizet

Cast includes Winifred Heidt as Carmen, Marina Koshetz as Micaela, James Pease as Escamillo, Ramon Vinay as Don Jose

The Hollywood Bowl Orchestra is conducted by Leopold Stokowski

The announcer mentions that this is the first concert in The Hollywood Bowl's Silver Jubilee Season, which would date this broadcast July 1946.  Announcer is Sergeant Bernard Dudley

Discs are in Excellent Condition with Excellent or better Sound, beautiful discs!  I can't imagine finding a complete set of all five discs in better condition
