We named the Bighorn after the first real mountains you come to in the West. As the youngest of the Killer B's, the Bighorn is Dana's acknowledgment to all those folks who have pressed him for a langer "B". It is designed for those who go light and long. for days at a time. Deeper than the other "B" bags. to hold a large sleeping bag if necessary, the Bighorn also has Dana's new Panelload/Pocket acoess zippers - the entire bag can be peeled open from the top OR the zips can be opened from the bottom to give acoess through a pair of pocket-style openings. Dana then backs this access up with a Beaver Tail Shovit pocket that gives great flexibility and increases effective volume by 25% Top it all off with a removable lid and extendible weather shroud, and you have a pack that fully exploits the canying capacity of the Killer B frame.

For those who figure the only way to a comfortable load is a light kad, the Bighom is the plush way to go.
