Original 1930s Phillips Bread insert Indian picture cards of the Blackfoot Tribe by Winold Reiss depicting "Homegun". Phillips Baking Company inserted these in loafs of Indian Bread. The card is semi thin paper and has a cancelled stamp on the back.
Image is by Winold Reiss who was commissioned by The Great Northern Railroad to paint portraits of the The Blackfeet Confederacy in 1927. The bread inserts are listed in the "American Card Catalog" as D127. The card is licensed on the bottom by Winold Reiss and The Great Northern Railroad.
Bright and colorful it measures 3.2" x 2.6".
